With a friendship stretching over a decade, Jennifer and Lance were drawn together by their mutual adoration of music and shared creativity that, after eight years of collaboration, would evolve into Soulstrom. Forming in 2007 and making their home in Baton Rouge, Soulstrom began writing and producing songs for their recently released debut album Thanks to Eve: an intimate reflection of the trials and tribulations of the life we all share, and the resurgence in overcoming those hardships.
From the time she uttered her first words, singer / songwriter Jennifer Efferson has had a passion for music. Driven by such influences as Jewel, Fiona Apple, and Mazzy Star, Jennifer found her own voice and through her candid songwriting is the voice of Soulstrom.
Lance Boudreaux's lifelong admiration of music inspired him to pick up a guitar at eighteen, where he was able to explore the sounds of his influences: Jim Morrison, Kevin Kinney, and the Beatles. Over the years, Lance developed his songwriting to accompany the layered guitar that lays the groundwork for Soulstrom's unique sound.
In addition to honing their craft by performing at clubs in the Baton Rouge area, Soulstrom have also been hard at work recording their first studio album Thanks to Eve at Building Studios in Baton Rouge as well as working on material for their next album, unwavering in their pursuit of peace and growth through music.
